Our Fantasized Lives

The other day I realized how much we has a human race just want to be done with things so we can move on to something better or the next thing on our list. So often we are searching, longing for an end. We are always looking for an end result. What about the plowing, pushing forward and getting through the hard stuff that brings the results?

When I'm moving snow for snowboarding or dirt for bike trails, I'm always pushing forward through the pain and tiredness to receive and end result. I dream a lot so I dream about that end result and what I may be able to accomplish on the finished product. That fantasizing and dreaming of what may be is so strong and exciting. Why is the fake or what may never be more exciting than really living? Why are the books we read, movies we watch, and stories we hear that are completely fiction more exciting than our real life? It seams to me that we have regarded our dreams as unreachable. We may be very well be living in our minds our own fantasy, not living the real life we have been given.

What has happened to actually knowing you are human? Do we realize we are bones and flesh given free will too choose life?

So instead of me just dreaming about the tricks I'm going to learn and do I should stop fantasizing and start doing. Besides, often the work and time that goes into making something is better and more fun than enjoying the finished product. Don't skip the pain and go straight to the exciting stuff at the end. Pain, sweat, and hard work are just as much a part of the story and worth of the end result.

Live a real life, don't live in a fantasy. Is what is not true worth anything? Don't just skip the pain and move to the "good stuff". Pain lets us know we are alive. Profoundly stop fantasizing and start living.
